Patriots Not Naming Offensive, Defensive Coordinators
2 years agoNew England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick isn't naming an official offensive coordinator to replace Josh McDaniels, who is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Patriots also won't list an official defensive coordinator. "I'm not big on titles," Belichick said in March. "We have jobs to do. We'll do the jobs." Senior football adviser/offensive line coach Matt Patricia, offensive assistant/quarterbacks coach Joe Judge and Belichick are viewed as the most likely possibilities to call plays for second-year QB Mac Jones. It remains an interesting storyline with training camp kicking off next Wednesday, and there's a chance that Jones get input from all three on game days.
