3 years agoThe New England Patriots re-signed running back James White to a two-year, $5 million deal on Tuesday, according to a source. The 30-year-old will return after suffering a hip injury last year that limited him to just three games. He finished the year with just 12 catches for 94 yards and 10 carries for 38 yards and one touchdown. White will return to a crowded backfield that includes Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson and J.J. Taylor in New England. His new deal includes only $500,000 guaranteed. The fourth-rounder in 2014 should reclaim his role as a change-of-pace back for head coach Bill Belichick, but unless injuries ravage the Patriots backfield, White will be a frustrating low-upside PPR running back in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
