7 years agoThe New England Patriots released wide receiver Jordan Matthews (hamstring) on Wednesday after he suffered an injury in practice Sunday, according to a league source. Matthews' injury was said to be significant, so he was likely to miss extended time. Perhaps the Pats will turn to free-agent Eric Decker as depth with Julian Edelman suspended the first four games.
