7 years agoThe New England Patriots released running back Mike Gillislee on Saturday, according to a source. This was the expected course of action all throughout training camp and the preseason with Jeremy Hill outplaying Gillislee for the short-yardage/goal-line role in 2018. While Hill could have decent weeks at the goal line for the Patriots, his fantasy production will be way too unpredictable to rely on. This is a crowded backfield with Rex Burkhead, James White, rookie Sony Michel and Hill all in the mix.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
