Patriots Should Be Patient With Jarrett Stidham
4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Jarrett Stidham has been given a hard act to follow after legendary quarterback Tom Brady departed this offseason. Dante Scarnecchia believes the Pats are going to suffer through some growing pains with their young quarterback. "There's gonna be some growing pains, there's no doubt about it," said Scarnecchia. The fourth-round pick has seen little playing time in his career and limited opportunities to get caught up to speed due to COVID-19 concerns. Stidham is not going to step in there and be an elite quarterback like Brady. It is going to take time for him to feel comfortable as the starter. Stidham is expected to compete with Brian Hoyer for the starting quarterback job in camp. The Pats are fairly limited in terms of reliable options on offense. Stidham is going to be a tough player to trust in fantasy leagues, especially early in the season.
