3 years agoThe New England Patriots selected Tennessee-Chattanooga offensive guard Cole Strange with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. It might be a bit of a reach for Strange at the tail end of the first round, but that shouldn't come as too big of a surprise from head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Strange's biggest challenge might just be the jump in competition level. The 23-year-old is very athletic for his position after running a 5.03-second 40-yard dash at the combine, and he stands at 6-foot-5, 307 pounds. Strange doesn't project to be an elite player in the NFL, but the Patriots must've like his overall athleticism after he played tight end and linebacker in high school.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
