6 years agoThe New England Patriots will not be trading for Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson at the trade deadline next Tuesday. A source said the team hasn't had a single conversation about making a deal for Peterson, and discussing how the team would be able to make him fit is a "waste of time." The Patriots wouldn't be able to make Peterson fit with their current salary cap structure. They'd have to start restructuring other contracts to make it work. Peterson clearly wants out of Arizona as they try to rebuild. With the Patriots unlikely to land him and after the Saints just traded for Eli Apple, Peterson's most likely landing spot could now be the Eagles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
