Paul Blackburn Tosses Another Gem Monday

2 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Paul Blackburn improved to 4-0 in Monday's 2-0 win over the Tigers. Blackburn pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and no walks with three strikeouts. The 28-year-old hasn't been fantasy relevant since his rookie season in 2017, but he now owns a sterling 1.74 ERA with 26 strikeouts and three walks over his first six starts and 31 IP this season. It may be hard for fantasy managers to buy into his recent performance so far given his career track record, but Blackburn is currently just 58 percent rostered and is now worth a look in most leagues.
