2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong is expected to earn the Opening Day job, with new manager Oliver Marmol saying the starting shortstop job is his "to lose." Lose it is exactly what he did last season due to injuries and extended slumps, with Edmundo Sosa overtaking him in the second half of the season. DeJong will get the chance to start, but he may not see an extended look, as Sosa was somewhat effective in his opportunity, while DeJong has just a .673 OPS over the past two seasons.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
