4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (ribs) has not yet resumed baseball activities, according to Zachary Silver of MLB.com. DeJong was placed on the injured list last week with a non-displaced fracture in his rib, that he suffered after being hit by a pitch. He had struggled at the plate early on in the year, slashing .177/.277/.371 over 35 games. But he had also launched seven home runs with 17 RBI and 18 runs scored. With DeJong out, Edmundo Sosa continues to hold down the shortstop job for St. Louis.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
