7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (hand) was able to take grounders on the field at Busch Stadium on Monday. He was wearing a soft brace beneath his glove, but it is still an excellent sign for the young shortstop. DeJong fractured his hand on a hit by pitch and had surgery to insert a metal plate and screws. Early July was DeJong's goal to be back in the lineup, and that's looking like a realistic estimate at this point.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
