4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt scored a season-high four runs on Saturday in a 12-5 win over the Pirates. Goldschmidt finished 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and one RBI, as he broke out of a 2-for-20 slump over his last five games. Through 26 games this season, Goldschmidt is now slashing .234/.281/.364 with three home runs, 15 RBI and 18 runs scored. Managers will hope that Saturday's performance can help jumpstart Goldschmidt's bat and see a return to his career .292/..390/.519 triple-slash line.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
