6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker finished Thursday's Opening Day loss with a double and a solo home run across four at-bats, finishing with two runs scored and two RBI. Walker is filling some big shoes, as Paul Goldschmidt was shipped to the St. Louis Cardinals during the offseason. So far, so good. Walker had a nice spring and he carried over the big power into the regular-season opener. Can he sustain it over the course of a 162-game schedule. It remains to be seen. But he is certainly off to a good start for his hopeful fantasy owners.--Daniel Dobish
