3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Pavin Smith went hitless in a loss to the Rockies on Thursday, finishing 0-for-4 at the plate. Smith has shown some pop but otherwise has been swinging a cold bat recently, slashing .185/.241/.444 with two homers, two RBI, three runs scored an 10 strikeouts over his last seven games. Outside of these recent struggles, Smith has been having a nice rookie season, slashing .263/.315/.403 with seven homers, one steal, 28 RBI and 41 runs scored over 85 games. Despite being on a terrible Diamondbacks squad, Smith is a decent play in deeper mixed leagues and NL-only formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
