4 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Pedro Severino will start the season on the big league roster, per Baltimore Baseball's Rich Dubroff. Battery mate Chance Sisco will also start the season with the O's. Severino split time with Sisco behind home plate last season, slashing .250/.322/.388 with five home runs and 21 RBI across 32 starts. While he performed better than Sisco last season, Severino has had a poor showing this spring, managing just a .184/.238/.342 slash line. Given that catcher was a timeshare last season, he hasn't performed well this spring, and the O's have their hopeful catcher of the future in Adley Rutschman, it will be difficult for fantasy managers to put trust in Severino to start the season.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
