3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in the Mets 13-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. Although Alonso is only batting .200 in July (6-for-30), five of his six hits are for extra bases (two doubles and four home runs). Overall, Alonso is slashing .257/.337/.483 with 16 HR, 11 doubles, and 48 RBI in 74 games.
