Pete Alonso Drives In Three Against Cubs
4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 1-for-3 with three RBI, driving in all three runs in the Mets 3-2 win over the Cubs on Tuesday. Alonso has been hot of late, slashing .320/.379/.720 over his past seven games, with three home runs and nine RBI over 25 at-bats. Overall on the season, Alonso has posted 10 HR, 34 RBI, and is batting .258 with a .817 OPS. His numbers are backed up by elite metrics including a 17% barrel rate, an overall exit velocity of 92.5 mph, and a strikeout rate of 22.3% which is the lowest of his career. Alonso should remain active in all fantasy lineups where all signs point to his bat remaining hot as we head into the summer months.
