Pete Alonso Drives In Two On Monday
3 years agoOn Monday, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run triple in the Mets 7-5 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Like the rest of the Mets lineup, Alonso had been struggling, though he has started to heat up as we get into late August. Alonso is now batting .310/.375/.610 over his last seven games with one home run, four doubles, run, and four RBI. Though we'd like to see more production in the power department, Alonso is hitting well of late and getting on base. For the season, Alonso is batting .250/.334/.490 with 25 home runs, 17 doubles, and 67 RBI. Alonso should remain active in all fantasy formats despite the Mets' overall proclivity to not hit with runners in scoring position.
