3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso (elbow) exited Wednesday's game after being hit by a pitch on his elbow, according to Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News. Alonso was hit in the top of the ninth inning after going 1-for-3 with a run scored against the Giants. He's been having a nice year at the plate, slashing .250/.333/.495 with 26 homers, 69 RBI and 58 runs scored over 109 games.
