3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso hit another two-run shot Sunday, coming through against Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Ryan Borucki in the sixth inning of a 5-4 victory. It was his only hit in four at-bats. Alonso is clearly suffering no hangover from the home run derby, as he's gone crazy with five home runs since the break. He's slashing .375/.412/.844 in his last seven games, and now is every bit the power threat his reputation makes him out to be after a down first half. Fantasy managers can ride the wave to the playoffs going forward.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
