4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Mets' 7-6 win over Baltimore on Wednesday. Alonso has had a disappointing sophomore season overall. However, since the calendar flipped to September, Alonso has finally started to show consistent signs of what we saw from him in 2019. In eight games in September, Alonso is batting .312 with five home runs and eight RBI in 32 at-bats. Managers in shallow redraft leagues who remained patient with Alonso are being rewarded down the stretch here in 2020.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
