4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso (hand) took pitches from a high-velocity machine on Friday. Alonso has been on the 10-day injured list since suffering a sprained hand back on May 18. The 26-year-old is eligible to return on Saturday, and with recent rumblings that he's almost ready to go, he may be back in the lineup sometime over the next few days.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
