4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Dominic Smith is starting at first base and batting fifth against Max Fried. Alonso is 1-for-15 in his career against Fried, so the 25-year-old is a healthy scratch for the contest. He is slashing just .215/.314/.441 with 12 homers, 27 RBI, and 52 strikeouts through 177 at-bats in 2020.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
