3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, and three runs scored in the Mets 14-1 win over the Orioles on Wednesday. It was the tenth homer of the season for Alonso and his third HR in two days. Alonso is now slashing .265/.349/.500 with 10 HR, 31 RBI, and eight doubles over 162 at-bats on the season. Alonso is red hot at the plate, slashing .370/.393/.741 with three HR over his last seven games. Alonso should, accordingly, remain active in all lineups during this hot streak. The Mets and Alonso will begin a seven-game homestand on Friday, starting off with three games against the Padres.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
