Pete Alonso With Four Hits Against Red Sox
4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 4-for-4 on Wednesday in the Mets 6-5 loss to the Red Sox. All of Alonso's four hits were singles. After a very slow start to the young season, Alonso is beginning to heat up and is now hitting .250 in 24 at-bats. He appears to have made some adjustments to his swing and exhibited more patience on the outside of the plate on Wednesday which contributed to the four hit night. Despite his slow start, Alonso is one of the top first basemen in all of the majors. He is a lock to deliver elite HR and RBI numbers in the Mets potent lineup.
