Pete Alonso With Two Homers On Sunday
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went a combined 2-for-8 in the Mets doubleheader against the Yankees on Sunday. Both of his hits were home runs, as he drove in a total of three runs on the day. In the first game, he hit a game-tying solo homer off of Aroldis Chapman in the seventh inning. In the nightcap, he belted a two-run homer off of Darren O'Day. He now has 15 homers to go with 43 RBI and a .255/.339/.474 slash line on the season. Alonso has four homers over his last seven games, is locked in at the plate, and should remain active in all formats.
