Pete Carroll, John Schneider Will Be Back In Seattle
3 years agoAfter meeting with Seattle Seahawks owner Jody Allen on Thursday, "all systems are go" for head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider to return for the 2022 season. The Seahawks also are expected to keep quarterback Russell Wilson, who has two years left on his contract, although it was reported Sunday morning that Wilson wants to explore his options this offseason. Wilson had his differences with Carroll and the front office last offseason, and it sounds as if he's open to the possibility of being traded if he can go to a team with a more promising long-term outlook than the Seahawks after finishing up a disappointing 7-10 season. But with the Seahawks retaining Carroll and Schneider, a complete rebuild isn't in the cards for Seattle heading into the 2022 campaign.
