Pete Carroll Thinks Seattle Will Lock Up DK Metcalf
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll thinks the team will eventually sign wide receiver DK Metcalf to a contract extension. "We want him to be here. He wants to be here. We'll figure it out. It'll just take us some time but we'll get it done," Carroll said. This comes after Metcalf recently expressed confidence himself that he would get something figured out with Seattle. The 24-year-old is coming off foot surgery in February, but he should be close to full strength for the start of training camp in July. Metcalf is one of the best receivers in the game and has 29 total touchdowns in his first three seasons, but he's going to take a hit to his fantasy value with quarterback Russell Wilson now in Denver. Either Drew Lock or Geno Smith throwing him passes will represent a significant downgrade.
