3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong (shoulder), who was acquired by the Cubs in the deal that sent infielder Javier Baez to the New York Mets last year, is back to full strength after having surgery to fix a torn labrum in his non-throwing right shoulder last year. The soon-to-be 20-year-old is the Cubs No. 5 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, was cleared to begin a hitting progression in November and is now a full participant in minicamp ahead of minor league spring training. Crow-Armstrong has made adjustments with his hands to help give his bat "angle and direction" to the ball. "I think the biggest difference with Pete this year," said Justin Stone, the Cubs director of hitting, "is he might have the biggest exit velocity jump of anyone we have in camp."--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
