4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso hit his first home run of the season in the Mets 7-4 win over the Red Sox on Monday. Alonso went 1-for-5 with the two run HR being his only hit. Alonso is off to a slow start to the 2020 season, batting just .125 with the one HR, two RBI in 16 at-bats. Alonso broke out in 2019 with a line of .260-53-120-103-1. Despite his slow start to this young season, Alonso is one of the top first basemen in all of the majors and is a lock to deliver elite HR and RBI numbers in the Mets lineup.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
