Peter Lambert Makes Rehab Start At Triple-A
3 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Peter Lambert (forearm) started for Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday night and was scheduled to pitch just one inning as he builds his strength back up. Lambert allowed a run on two hits while walking one and striking out one. He threw 14 of his 21 total pitches for strikes. Manager Bud Black said that he expects Lambert to be fully stretched out and ready to join the starting rotation within a month, if needed. The 25-year-old missed all of 2020 and most of last year while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he fought through right forearm inflammation in spring training, causing him to open the regular season on the injured list. It's not a guarantee that he'll join the Rockies rotation when he's fully healthy.
