5 years agoCarolina Hurricanes impending unrestricted free-agent goaltenders Petr Mrazek and Curtis McElhinney are each expected to test the market, with the team unlikely to get either signed. "We're trying to sign them, but it doesn't look like we're going to get either signed," general manager Don Waddell said. "So, if not, we'll go to the market and see what's out there for July 1." The Hurricanes have insurance, as Alex Nedeljkovic won the AHL's outstanding goalie in Charlotte's Calder Cup championship season in the AHL.
