Peyton Barber Finds End Zone In Pittsburgh
4 years agoWashington Football Team running back Peyton Barber handled 14 carries for 23 yards and scored a touchdown in a win over the Steelers on Monday. Barber saw a season-high in carries as starter Antonio Gibson (toe) left the game in the first quarter. If early reports are accurate, Gibson won't be back for a game against the 49ers next week which would make Barber an attractive waiver wire addition. The 26-year-old had been used as a change-of-pace runner to Gibson so even though J.D. McKissic will be involved, Barber should be in line to handle the bulk of the carries in Gibson's absence. Barber should be added in 12-team leagues and larger.
