Peyton Barber Leads Washington Backfield
4 years agoWashington Football Team running back Peyton Barber ran for 29 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns in a win over the Eagles Sunday. The 17 carries were more than rookie Antonio Gibson (nine) and J.D. McKissic (three) as the game-script heavily favored the steady, yet unspectacular, veteran in Barber. The backfield split was even between Gibson and Barber for most of the game, but Barber was given most of the work in the red zone and in the fourth quarter as Washington was looking to kill the clock. Despite a productive game, Barber rushed for just 1.7 yards-per-carry and can't be relied on to find the endzone every game. He's a low-upside RB3 in fantasy given his usage in Week 1.
