Peyton Barber Set As Bucs Starting Tailback
6 years agoBuccaneers running back Peyton Barber is the starter going into week one of the season. Head Coach Dirk Koetter removed him early from the team's last preseason game against the Lions because he had seen enough to justify the decision With five carries, for 34 yards and a touchdown, Barber provided the icing on the cake to his preseason. Barber will likely not appear in next week's game because Koetter wants him fresh and healthy for their game against the Saints. With his draft stock surely on the rise, there is a legitimate reason to consider taking him if enough established backs are gone.
