6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has looked every bit the part of a top-five fantasy quarterback through three weeks. At his current clip, he's on pace for 43 touchdowns and over 4,800 passing yards, both of which would become new career highs. After putting up strong numbers against a stifling Rams defense in Week 3, he's entered matchup-proof territory. His fantasy investors need not worry about his next matchup anyway, though, as it comes in the form of the reeling 49ers. With so many weapons around him, Rivers should be able to dice up a San Francisco defense that could spend a lot of time on the field if C.J. Beathard struggles to move the ball. Rivers was viewed as a fringe fantasy starter entering the season, but he's emerged as an elite option. More success is on the way in Week 4.--Chris O'Reilly
