6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has taken advantage of some inferior defenses early in the season, racking up 680 yards and six touchdowns through two contests. He'll graduate to a much more formidable challenge in Week 3, however, as the Chargers are set to take on their crosstown rival Rams. The Rams have yet to give up a passing touchdown in 2018, are allowing an average of under 200 air yards per game, and have collected four interceptions. They haven't faced a quarterback of Rivers' caliber yet, but Rivers also has yet to square up with a defense this stifling. Only time will tell which side gives in Week 3, but this is one of the rare times at which it is worth considering benching Rivers in favor of a quarterback with a more favorable matchup.--Chris O'Reilly
