Philip Rivers Remains Hard To Trust As A QB2
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers' value continues to depreciate after last week's performance against the Browns. The Browns do not have a good secondary, and Rivers threw zero touchdowns and two interceptions. He takes on the rebuilding Bengals this week, who surprisingly appear to be playing good defense against the pass. They have surrendered just seven passing touchdowns through five games and are allowing a passer rating of 81.7. Rivers is averaging less than 13 fantasy points per game, and the Bengals Defense ranks fourth against opposing quarterbacks. There is no encouraging data to suggest that Rivers will have a good fantasy performance this week. He should be on the bench in Week 6.
