3 years agoSeattle Kraken surprised a few pundits by signing Philipp Grubauer to a six-year contract on Wednesday. The former Colorado Avalanche goaltender will be making $5.9 million AAV to start for the expansion team. Grubauer was one of the best goaltenders in the league last year. He posted a 30-9-1 mark with a 1.99 goals-against-average and .921 save percentage. That included seven shutouts. Grubauer enjoyed a career year where he finished third in the Vezina Trophy voting (best goaltender). The goaltending situation in Seattle is very much set and should be considered a position of much strength from a fantasy perspective. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
