Phillies Have High Hopes For Adam Haseley In Center
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley is the leading candidate to start in center field this season after a slew of injuries rushed him to the big leagues last year. Haseley went from Double-A to Triple-A to the majors in a span of seven days last season before getting injured himself. Haseley struggled upon his return but finished strong, batting .281 with a .351 on-base percentage in 26 games last September. The left-hander batted over .300 across two stops in his last full season in the minors and entering his age-24 season, he has plenty of upside that made him a first-round pick in the MLB draft. He'll battle Roman Quinn this spring for playing time, but if the Phillies announce Haseley as their starter, he could carry sneaky OF value in a deeper league.
