2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies signed free-agent right-handed reliever Chris Devenski to a minor league deal on Tuesday. Devenski will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He was an All-Star in 2017 with the Houston Astros, but he has struggled to stick in the major leagues the last three years. In the last two years with the Arizona Diamondbacks it's been tough sledding for Devenski, as he's posted an 8.00 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 14 strikeouts and three walks in just 18 relief innings, including one save. The 31-year-old veteran will strictly represent minor league relief depth for the Phillies to close out the 2022 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
