7 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies are giving outfield prospect Roman Quinn a try at shortstop at camp, despite the fact that he hasn't played there since 2014 and amassed 61 errors in 149 games in the low minors at the position. The Phillies value positional versatility, and if Quinn can prove adequate on the infield, it will drastically improve his chances of making the major league roster for Opening Day. The 24-year-old Quinn is in the mix for a reserve spot after hitting .274 with a .344 on-base percentage in 45 games in 2017 at the Triple-A level before injuring his elbow. Helping his chances are the fact that he can play all three outfield positions, but his health is the biggest thing keeping him down to this point. Quinn won't be on many peoples' fantasy radar, but he is one to watch in dynasty/keeper leagues, mainly for his speed.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
