5 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Phillip Ervin has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville and will bat fifth Saturday against the Rangers. This will be Ervin's first major league start since May 22. In 40 Triple-A games this year, Ervin has an OPS of .866 with six home runs and six stolen bases. For his big league career, Ervin owns an .873 OPS against left-handed pitching versus just .676 when facing right-handed pitchers. When platooning against lefties such as Saturday against Mike Minor, Ervin is a strong low-cost daily fantasy option.--Walt Clark
