3 years agoThe New York Yankees signed free-agent third baseman Phillip Evans to a minor league deal on Tuesday. Evans spent the 2021 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, slashing .206/.312/.299 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 247 plate appearances over 76 games. The 29-year-old spent his first two big-league seasons with the New York Mets, and he has a career .231/.331/.319 slash line with only six home runs and 27 RBI in 353 plate appearances over 121 games in his four seasons.
