Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Avalanche Punish Fleury, Vegas
5 years agoPierre-Edouard Bellemare haunted his former team for the second time this year. He scored two goals in a 7-3 drubbing of Vegas on Monday night. Bellemare has just six goals and 12 points on the year with three goals and five points coming against Vegas. Nathan MacKinnon had two assists and now has 12 points in the last nine games. With 55 points in 37 games, he’s on pace to surpass 100 points for the first time in his career. Valeri Nichushkin and J.T. Compher also had two points each. On the other side of the score sheet, Marc-Andre Fleury’s disappointing season continued with seven goals allowed on 38 shots as Vegas’ porous defense left him out to dry on multiple occasions. He’s now allowed 21 goals in his last five games. Expect the club to utilize backup Malcolm Subban on a more consistent basis moving forward.
