5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day IL Monday. The move opens up a spot for Jake Elmore on the 40-man roster. Taillon has been on the IL since May 4th and was originally going to be shut down until at least June. Now Taillon won't even be eligible to return until July at the minimum. Taillon was a popular breakout pick this season after posting a 3.20 ERA in 191 innings pitched last year backed up by an 11.8% swinging strike rate.
