Pittsburgh Exercises Fifth-Year Option On Bud Dupree
7 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers have exercised their fifth-year option on linebacker Bud Dupree, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Dupree has been productive in his first three years with the Steelers, registering 14.5 sacks in 38 games. The 2015 first-round pick has struggled with injuries over his career, missing nine games in 2016 with a groin injury and playing through a shoulder issue in 2017, which was why there was some chance Pittsburgh might wait to exercise the option. Dupree is expected to serve as the Steelers starting left outside linebacker in 2018, opposite second-year player T.J. Watt.
