Pittsburgh Expects Ben Roethlisberger To Play In Week 10
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (knees) sustained injuries to both of his knees during Sunday's win over the Cowboys, one of which necessitated a trip to the locker room shortly before halftime. But after undergoing tests Monday, there is optimism that he will have enough time to heal before a Week 10 outing against the Bengals. Roethlisberger exceeded the 300-yard passing mark for the second time this year against Dallas, having thrown for five touchdowns with no interceptions over his past two outings. In the case that Roethlisberger cannot suit up, Mason Rudolph would be the likely candidate to take over under center. While Rudolph showed positive flashes as a starter last season, his presence in the lineup would serve as a step back in intrigue for many of the Pittsburgh wideouts.
