Preston Williams Impressive Before Injury
5 years agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Preston Williams turned in the best performance of his young career on Sunday, scoring 18 points in a 26-18 victory over the New York Jets. Williams caught five of his nine targets for 75 yards and scored two touchdowns but was carted to the locker room early in the third quarter after suffering a left knee injury. More on the severity of the injury will be known after Williams gets an MRI that is scheduled for Monday, with the Dolphins preparing to travel to Indianapolis to play the Colts in Week 10. Williams leads all Miami receivers in 2019 with 60 targets, so any absence would open up more looks for teammates Devante Parker, Albert Wilson, and Mike Gesicki.
