3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins caught three passes in a Week 1 win against the Atlanta Falcons. Watkins was targeted three times, catching all of them for 23 yards. He worked as the slot receiver, with Greg Ward not appearing in the box score at all. Watkins was hyped all of training camp and preseason as a breakout candidate, and while he was certainly on the field more than he had been in any game last season, DeVonta Smith and Jalen Reagor worked way ahead of him as pass catchers in the Eagles offense. Watkins could have some occasional big games, but unless the Eagles start targeting their slot receiver more often, he won't put up consistent enough numbers to be worth starting in most formats.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
